The Trimmer
In my personal opinion, the Cutco TRIMMER is the best all-around knife in the collection. It is large enough to trim meats, chicken breasts, cut and section small-to-medium fruits, such as apples, grapefruit, even melons such as honeydew and cantaloupe. Plus, it is small enough to be precise, and is lightweight, a real plus for the ladies. Unlike the larger knives, it feels very much at home in the hand of the average female, whereas the males would likely tend towards the Chef knives or the Carvers. It is a very versatile utility tool, with the Double D edge, and will slice tomatoes paper-thin, as well as rolls, muffins, and baguettes. The TRIMMER also comes in a Santoku style, with a drop-point, for those who favor gripping the end of the knife when chopping, slicing and/or dicing; the drop-point style keeps the point away from the flesh! From my experience, the Trimmer is probably the favorite among most Cutco owners.
